One Green Bottle
Onegreenbottle is a purpose driven brand specialising in stylish and sustainable stainless steel bottles, thermal mugs and lunchboxes. They are making caps from recycled, discarded fishing nets and sea-harvested plastics, while having a zero plastic supply chain. The brand also partners with ocean conservation organisations to fund restorative projects.
Onegreenbottle was started in 2006 when Heather was looking for a drinks bottle for her son to take to school each day. She had worked as an industrial chemist in Europe and Asia and was aware of the chemical composition of plastics and how readily compounds could leach into drinks. Heather identified 304 grade stainless steel as the most inert, safe and toxin free material around and started buying bottles and lunchboxes for friends and family.
These days consumers are acutely aware of environmental and health issues, but are more savvy about greenwashing and making sure claims made by brands can be substantiated. Onegreenbottle is a certified B-Corp which verifies they are a purpose led company with the highest standards in environmental and ethical practice
