De vraag is alleen; welke van de veranderingen in klantgedrag zal aanhouden? Nieuwe resultaten uit een onderzoek van\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kantar<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0en Google laten zien hoe klantgedrag in Nederland is veranderd in het kopen van levensmiddelen, persoonlijke verzorging, kleding en huis en tuin artikelen.\u00a0<\/span><\/b> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Daarnaast zijn duizenden <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">retail<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0gerelateerde zoektrends geanalyseerd om belangrijkste consumententrends te identificeren. Hieronder leest u de vier belangrijkste digitale trends in de detailhandel op basis van de resultaten uit deze twee rapporten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Opkomst online\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">window<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0shopping<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nu het door langdurige\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lockdowns<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0niet mogelijk is om even snel een winkel te bezoeken zijn consumenten op zoek naar andere manieren om te kunnen winkelen. Zoekinteresse voor \u2018idee\u00ebn\u2019 in combinatie met zoektermen zoals \u2018woondecoratie\u2019, \u2018interieur\u2019 en \u2018DIY\u2019 schoten flink omhoog aan het begin van 2020. Heden ten dage zijn nog steeds veel consumenten online op zoek naar inspiratie.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Het onderzoek van\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kantar<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0laat ook zien dat\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">touchpoints<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0vooraf aan de aankoop steeds meer online plaatsvinden. Resultaten tonen aan dat essenti\u00eble producten zoals levensmiddelen en persoonlijke verzorging nog steeds vooral offline en met weinig vooronderzoek worden gekocht. Dit terwijl niet-essenti\u00eble producten zoals bijvoorbeeld kleding en huis en tuin artikelen, van tevoren goed worden onderzocht en voornamelijk online worden aangeschaft.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">De besluitvormingsfase van de klantreis (customer\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">journey<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">) wordt steeds ingewikkelder nu consumenten steeds meer verschillende producten en mogelijkheden overwegen in het midden van deze reis. Voor zowel grote als kleinere retailers is het daarom van belang om gedurende de gehele klantreis zichtbaar en top of mind te zijn voor de overwegende consument.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Consumenten zijn voorzichtig met hun geld<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Consumenten zijn zich steeds meer bewust van de bedrijven waarbij ze hun aankopen doen en besluiten zorgvuldiger welke merken ze wel of niet willen steunen. Bovendien waren \u2018in de buurt\u2019 zoekopdrachten rondom \u2018winkelen\u2019 bijzonder populair afgelopen jaar. Dit waarschijnlijk vanwege het gemak, maar ook omdat consumenten het belangrijk vonden om de (lokale) bedrijven die het <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">het<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0zwaarst hadden te steunen.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Als er per categorie gekeken wordt naar winkel triggers en redenen om geld uit te geven, is het duidelijk dat noodzakelijkheid en pragmatisme ver bovenaan staan. Waar Nederlandse consumenten boodschappen en persoonlijke verzorging vooral inslaan omdat ze het nodig hebben, worden kleding en huis- en tuinartikelen vooral aangeschaft uit praktische overwegingen.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">De coronacrisis heeft echter het koopgedrag op meer manieren be\u00efnvloed. De\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kantar<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">-studie laat namelijk zien dat, hoewel uitgaven rondom essenti\u00eble producten vrijwel hetzelfde gebleven zijn, 43% van de Nederlandse consument beweert minder uit te geven aan de welbekende impulsaankopen.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">De reden dat Nederlanders minder geld uitgeven is dat 55% beweert dat het komt omdat er minder te doen is, nu alles gesloten is.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Andere consumenten gaven ook aan zich zorgen te maken over hun financi\u00ebn (28%) of meer na te denken over welke producten nou echt essentieel zijn (25%).\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Toch zijn er ook consumenten die meer zijn uitgeven sinds afgelopen jaar, of dat nu is omdat ze meer huishoudartikelen nodig hebben (58%), zichzelf op willen vrolijken (56%)\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0meer vrije tijd te besteden hebben (49%).\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Consumenten verwachten meer waarde voor hun geld<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Vanwege de economische onzekerheid die alleen maar groeit, zijn consumenten steeds meer op zoek naar koopjes tijdens het winkelen. Het aantal zoekopdrachten rondom \u2018best\u2019 (elektronica) en \u2018promo code\u2019 (eten en drinken) is dan ook flink gestegen.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Zoekopdrachten rondom \u2018winkel\u2019 in combinatie met \u2018korting\u2019 zijn ook omhoog gegaan, met name in de latere fase van de klantreis.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Gezien het steeds makkelijker wordt om producten online te vergelijken of kortingscode te vinden, wordt korting tegenwoordig steeds meer een verwachting dan een extraatje. Daar komt bovenop dat verwachtingen steeds minder gebonden zijn aan specifieke categorie\u00ebn, waardoor consumenten ook korting verwachten op producten waarbij dit veel minder gebruikelijk is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Consumenten verwachten uitgebreide leveringsmogelijkheden voor al<\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">les<\/span><\/b><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Zoekopdrachten rondom \u2018bezorging\u2019, \u2018click\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0collect\u2019 en \u2018<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">curbside<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">pickup<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019 waren in 2020 hoger dan ooit. Consumenten verwachten deze mogelijkheden nu ook voor minder dagelijkse, luxe producten. Zo is de zoekinteresse rondom \u2018gewichten\u2019, \u2018ballonnen\u2019 en zelfs \u2018compost\u2019 blijvend in populariteit toegenomen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Veel Nederlandse merken passen zich dan ook aan om het veranderend consumentengedrag te kunnen dienen. Restaurants verkopen bijvoorbeeld DIY maaltijden, lokale drogisterijen leveren voorschriften aan huis en lifestyle merken bieden gepersonaliseerde cadeauverpakkingen aan. Om aan deze verwachtingen te kunnen blijven voldoen, is het belangrijk dat retailers een combinatie van bezorg- en ophaaldiensten aanbieden.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">De vraag van de consument zal de rest van het jaar 2021 onvoorspelbaar blijven, omdat mensen patronen blijven doorbreken en nieuwe vormen.
